Through SoCalREN’s benchmarking analysis, El Toro Water District (ETWD) received a report illustrating their annual energy use in four facilities:

appliances

This benchmarking helped SoCalREN identify the most promising energy projects for ETWD, including optimizing water and wastewater treatment processes and rehabilitating aged pumps through pump overhauls. If ETWD implements all of SoCalREN’s proposed measures, then they would reduce the District’s energy consumption by an estimated 22%, resulting in annual utility bill savings between $391,000 and $832,000. SoCalREN provided comprehensive project management services, engineering support, and financial analysis, and remains committed to delivering the necessary resources as the District pursues these projects through SoCalREN's new incentive programs. We're proud to support ETWD in providing its customers with safe and reliable water and wastewater services!

SoCalREN’s energy consumption benchmarking allows public agencies to identify new water and wastewater project opportunities for increased facility energy savings. Contact your SoCalREN Project Manager to learn more!
